Yes. Here we are - all of us - together on this side of the threshold marked with one flip forward in the way we mark our accumulation of years. 2015.
There's plenty wrong, that's for sure. But there's stuff that's working all the time, too. In fact, what's working is so abundant that it provides the reliable stage upon which every malady plays out.
Here at the beginning of the year, we're curious about whether noticing what's working might shift more attention in that direction. Whether seeing what we count on, yet very often take for granted, might increase capacity for bringing the inevitable grief of loss more fully into our lives. Bringing grief in as a companion, as a guide in support of wisdom over devastation.
As the new year opens its eyes, stretches its legs and sets out on the path it will take no matter what, we're looking forward to more work with individuals, organizations and communities in support of change - great change, generative change, quiet and sustained change.
We were delighted to run across a summary of our time in Asheville with SUWS of the Carolinas. Thanks to that community and the creative service professionals who joined us to consider The Nature of Grief last September.
We've also been gratified - thrilled really - with both the release and reception of Gary's book, The Carry Home - Lessons from the American Wilderness. We hope you'll check it out if you haven't already - and let us know what you think.
And, as ever, our very best to you all --
Watch for the good stuff ~
